Busy Girl
Last year, Kirsten Vangsness lent her time and talent to “Fat Pig.” This year, she is staying busy on hiatus with the Theater of NOTE. Kirsten is in “Spider’s Bites,” which is an anthology of 11 plays. Here’s a piece from a review offered by the LA Times:
Many of the plays fall victim to over-conceptualization and abstruse dialogue. In “Sleeping Spider,” a little girl (Kirsten Vangsness) holds imaginary court with her drawings as her mother berates her for defacing the walls of their home. “Milk” features a vaguely crazy woman (Vangsness) dressed in a soiled wedding gown and nursing a doll while conversing in gibberish with a friend.
Sound like interesting roles, if not mainstream! The plays are described as “avant garde.” It’d be awesome to see Kirsten Vangsness perform on the stage. I know she was in a movie called “In My Sleep,” but I haven’t seen it or heard any buzz about it. Kirsten plays a woman named Madge. Here’s a YouTube…KV isn’t in the clip, but it looks good!
We can see Kirsten in brand new episodes of Criminal Minds soon…twenty more days!
