Great Ratings!
“Damaged” played with the big boys and did really well. On Wednesday night, Criminal Minds was up against So You Think You Can Dance. The rerun had 8.6 million viewers, while the new SYTYCD had the same. The reality dance show won for the 18-49 demographic, but CM and CSI:NY helped CBS claim victory for the night. This is amazing when you think about it: repeats beating out new shows! I can’t wait to see what the ratings will be like when the new episodes arrive.
Is anyone from Denver? If so, maybe you can catch “Bleacher Bums.” Here’s an excerpt from the Denver Post about this play, which was cowritten by Joe Mantegna:
Saturday, the Parker Arts Council presents a light look at the Cubbies faithful in a readers-theater production of “Bleacher Bums.” The play, conceived and co-written by actor Joe Mantegna, is set at Wrigley Field, where a group of die-hards watch their beloved Cubs. Beer flows, and bets are placed. Will the Cubs pull this one out? “Bleacher Bums” is an outdoor performance, so bring a blanket to sit on in the grass. 6 p.m. Saturday. O’Brien Park, Parker Road and Mainstreet, Parker. If weather is inclement, the show will move to the Mainstreet Center Theater, 19650 E. Mainstreet. Free.
Sounds like fun - Joe Mantegna really is a multitalented person, isn’t he?
