New Autism Bill
Joe Mantegna has a daughter with Austism, so this subject is close to his heart. He is the spokesman for a bill that would lower the cost of caring for children with Autism. He says,
Autism is the number one medically-diagnosed disorder afflicting children, so you may be surprised to learn autism is not covered by health insurance in Illinois, unlike the states of Michigan, Indiana and New York, that all cover children diagnosed with autism.
Here is a YouTube clip with Joe Mantegna talking about the bill, which would go into effect in Illinois. This would be a tremendous help for families that struggle with this condition.

I think what I say will be unpopular, but really, I wish that the character angst would abate for a while. I love all the characters and want to know what makes them tick, but I like to be surprised better than having it handed to me on a plate.
Was anyone surprised that Reid suffered peer abuse when he was a kid? Or that his mom didn’t have a clue? MGG played it very well, and was believable, but jeeze, it was thrown in front of us like a piece of raw meat.
Hotch remains both wound too tight over his marital issues and too forgiving of the infractions perpetrated by his team. Morgan got to be sympathetic of another case of child abuse and up the anti of his concern for Spencer. I did love Morgan’s comment at the top of the episode, in which he said he ‘hoped’ Reid had been out with a woman.
The psychology of the ep was a cool way of looking into the heart and mind of a tortured teen looking for revenge. Especially as yesterday was the anniversary of the shooting at Virginia Tech.
Last year I saw a great production of Sondheim’s Assassins the weekend after the VT shootings and saw the show in a totally new and creepier way. This ep was sad, but not creepy.
I think that “gallows” humor would be a good addition to CM once in a while. Real law enforcement people have reams and reams of black humor at the ready to combat all the horror and angst. Someone on CM should do it too, but maybe CM is to P.C. to try it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the show and am 100% into every ep as it airs and then again when I watch it with anyone else on TIVO. I do wish that the suspense about character issues could be a little more temperate and discreet.

I definately agree with you on that.
