Parade Archives
I found an old article on Parade Magazine’s website about Thomas Gibson. It’s from 2007, and I’d never seen it before. It was ironic because in it, he discusses why he keeps his private life so well shielded and why he’s so private. Here’s a quote from Thomas:
I never envy the guys who get attention for partying too much or behaving badly. They’re acting out like bad kids. If I felt that would make me a better actor, maybe I would do it. But I figured out it just makes you a bigger celebrity.
The rest of the article is really sweet. It discusses his family life a bit. His wife and three children live in San Antonio, and he’s away shooting most of the week. He says:
My wife, Cristina, is an amazing mother, and I know by the time I get back home, she’s ready for a break. [Smart man!]…Cristina will say, ‘Enjoy your nap on the plane.’ That’s the most sleep I’ll get after I hear those voices calling, ‘Let’s play Daddy Monster!’ They have insatiable energy. My mother tells me I was just like that—bouncing off the walls.
It’s a great article. Click here to read the rest.

My word, he is beautiful in the pic with this article. I am happy for him and the life he has chosen.
I have what I call “Selective Ignorance” about celebs and others whose lives have nothing to do with mine beyond entertainment or curiosity. If I like them and appreciate what they do, I deliberately decide that they are okay people with okay lives that I will never have anything to do with and believe the best of them - PERIOD.
It took me a long, long time to believe Clinton was a liar about his sexual exploits. I had decided he was a good president and worked very hard and had no time for such dalliances. Alas, it became so overwhelmingly true; I have to take off my rose colored glasses.
My family is in show business and the kinds of BS things that the press prints is almost always incorrect. They are looking for scandal and to tear down a person’s reputation.
There was this huge uproar over David Duchovny’s behavior back in the X Files days (nothing to do with sex at all!!!) the papers all went ballistic printing that he had gone ballistic on the set and had a tantrum, kicking props and yelling. It turned out that in the next episode, Mulder had a hissy fit and yelled and kicked over the garbage can. This was a lesson! I do not get into rumors of bad actions or bad behavior. These celebs share their talent and I appreciate that talent and leave it at that.

It is such as awesome picture. I love it especially because it is so different from the Hotch pictures we see all the time. It really shows a different side of him - more light.
