Squeakuel
Matthew Gray Gubler will return as the voice of Simon in the sequel to the insanely successful Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. It was the highest grossing live action/animation film of all time. Today, MTV.com has an article on the upcoming “squeakuel.”
” ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel,’ ” producer Janice Karman revealed Wednesday, giving MTV News never-before-heard details on the plot, new characters and the A-list star who may not be returning.
“The boys will wind up going to school for the first time — and talk about a chipmunk out of water,” laughed Ross Bagdasarian Jr., her co-producer, husband and the son of the man who created Alvin, Simon and Theodore. “That’s our boys, and so it’s gonna be a really interesting look at a different part of who they are. Christmas Day 2009 — so don’t open your gifts, just go right to the theater.”
I never saw the first one, but I’m thinking my daughter might be old enough to like it now. I’ll have to check it out. It’s nice Matthew Gray Gubler gets to do something other than talk about serial killers!
